US Virgin Islands (USVI) is an unincorporated territory of the United States with the ability to offer tax incentives to companies meeting certain requirements.  The tax incentives can include a 90% reduction in income tax liability on income which is “effectively connected” with the conduct of a USVI trade or business.  Other tax incentives are also available.  The University of the Virgin Islands Research and Technology Park (UVI RT Park) is empowered to extend such tax benefits to certain knowledge based-companies matching its charter.
